Spooky Prairie Dog question?

"Delivery". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif I have seen carcasses dragged into the hole before. I'm sure it wasn't to render first-aid. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

SixGun, I think it's flesh they're eating. I got a few that were sitting upright and holding a long strip of their buddy up to their mouth. I didn't watch them in the scope long enough to tell if it was intestine or backstraps, lol. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I they get into fighting over the "good" parts, I am thorughly grossed out. Now they really have to pay next time I see that type of behavior! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

Claimbuster-That was ground chuck that gave your chili the distinctive flavor? Hmmm...no wonder I haven't been able to duplicate it. I thought you said it was ground-hog.

Don't forget, "Chuck" was the Doberman that USED to live next door. Very hard to duplicate.

I've never been prairie dog hunting but I have witnesses this same cannibalistic behavior in Richardson's Ground Squirrels. A great practice for instant replays. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

They are cannibals I can remember a long ago Disney film I think about a prarie dog town one scene was of a dog that got hit by a car and onother got it and was dragging it to the burrow, of course the comentator was going on about how he was trying to "save" his buddy, yea right, for dinner. I knew that back then even before dad started explaining what was really going on. I knew Disney was full of it after seeing Bambi.
