They started discounting 10 to 30% at my local VA store yesterday. Biggest discounts on clothing. Of course, they dont have much in the reloading area since they have not stocked up since last summer. No AR's and very few rifles and handguns. Lots of shotguns still on the racks.

Here is the plan out of the Wichita Kansas Store from their newsletter. I am real sorry to see this store go.

Why are they not discounting rifles?

More than likely it's because rifles and handguns are easy to box and ship to other stores where inventories are low.

I didn't think business was that great for SW to open their store in Pocatello, whereas they already had one in Idaho Falls. Pocatello and IF are like a huge metro area for SE Idaho. Only 50 minutes apart on the Interstate. Business will just increase at the IF store, hopefully the inventories will too.

Unfortunately it's on the list with the 22 others scheduled for liquidation on the SW website. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Pretty sad to see any company close stores these days and put people out of work. I buy from different companies and spread it around myself when I can.
