Staball powders

The more I load and shoot Staball Match and Staball 6.5, the more I think I should invest in them and not worry so much about 8208xbr, Varget, H4350 and several others. It seems to me I can always find a great load with them and theyre fairly temp insensitive.
I dont shoot matches so I may feel different if I did but these are definitely better than everything from Tac to Hunter. I really think I'm going to stop buying other powders.

For the 17 Rem. folks out there I've had some crazy velocity's out of the Stab 6.5 with a 30 bullet. Here's the data from the Hogdon site.

Im getting 2810 with 75gr RMR BTHP's in my 16" 556 with 26.5gr of Staball Match. I went up to Hornadys max of 27.3gr. I shot a few and they were VERY accurate, however when I chrono'd them I was getting around 2905. They were too hot. They shot good but primer pockets were toast so I backed it down a little.
The 27.3 gr load shoots well in my 18" 223ai AR and I still get around 2900 with 223 beass. The primer pockets are good so ill keep that load with it. Ill have to do a work up in fire formed brass.

If 6.5 works well in 22-250, I wonder how it does with 22 CM. The only thing stopping me from experimenting with the Staball powders is an 8lb keg of RL-16 and 3lbs of H4350 already on the shelf.

I've not tried it, but Hornady load data looks promising. For 22CM, 75 grain bullet, it shows better velocity than H4350. The only thing that beats it is RL-26. Looks good for other bullet weights too.

besides my obivous creedmore, we're running staball 6.5 in a 243 with 105 bthp with great results. iirc we're just over 2700 fps and its under 3/4 moa out to 500. SD low teens.

In the 6.5 CM actually prefer it over H4350, been playing with it in 6mm CM too. The 6mm Ackley not so much, for that one the Staball Match is working well.
