Nothing I like more than the classic good looks of a polished blue steel action in a finely grained satin finished wood stock. BUT...
I use my rifles in all weather, and hate to have to remove a barreled action from a stock to remove the water that can run down between the action and stock. With a stainless action and a synthetic stock, I don't have to worry so much about a little residual moisture damaging a rifle.
If I have a non bead blasted stainless action I simply wrap the stainless barrel with camo tape. Works for me.
