Stockys stock

After seeing some good reviews I ordered one of Stockys ultra light stocks made of carbon fiber. https://www.stockysstocks.com/huntercf.html
It only weighs around 24 ounces. Do you think it's too light for a calling/plinking rifle?
It's going on a Remington 700 .223. it was an ADL.
It seems most stocks weigh between 2 1/2 and 4 lbs. I'd like to hear others opinions on stock weight.
Thanks

For the rifle and intended use you mentioned, I don't believe that stock will be "too light". I don't mind adding weight in the stock area to assist in managing recoil, but those are not a walking around rifles either.

Helll no, I'd put a 24 ounce on every calling gun if I could.

Anything under 30 ozs is a win.

Some stocks are good at transferring the pulse from my neck, I see it through the scope. Seems most pronounced with lighter weight rifles.

Most colors are out of stock or "on back order". The only ones available right now are viper western or viper urban. Im not really thrilled about either but ordered the western but kind of like the urban also. I really hate ordering things like this with out seeing the colors in person. Anybody with any preference or actually seen a firearm in either color?

I was in your exact position, waited two months for the color I liked. Asked how much longer I'd be waiting and they estimated two more months. So I settled for the urban (about my last preference) but it looks pretty good in person imo. I can text or email you some pictures.

Most importantly the stock itself appears top notch. For reference I've owned McMillan, Manners and H-S stocks. It is ultra lightweight, I expected it but was still shocked! Figure I can always add some if needed so not overly concerned. Hope this helps.
