OK, I admit it.
I occasionally will watch this show.
And at times, I have to just shake my head, & say "What the...".
Example #1:
I was watching an episode a couple weeks ago, & the boss got mad at his workers
...then took it out on the camera man, telling him to get the "(censored by TV) out of here! Go find a corner, & stay out of my face!"
****Correct me if I'm wrong, but what's the point of filming if the guy's going to get upset, because he's being filmed getting upset?
Heck, that's half the reason I think people watch so-called "reality" shows like Sons & American Chopper.****
Example #2:
(And THIS one, I REALLY don't understand.)
Last night's "new" episode had one of the "gunsmiths" trying to talk to the boss all show, because he "has the hots" for the boss' daughter & wants to ask her out. (Huh? Really?)
OK, I always have thought that I am old-fashioned in my thinking when it comes to things like dating.
But, apparently, I'm not, because I was confused by all of this.
Both the daughter & the guy are adults. They are friends, or at least friendly.
If he wants to ask her out, why does he need to have Dad's/boss' permission?
If he asks her out, she'll either say yes, or no. At least those are the only reactions I've ever gotten.
Even if she is still "Daddy's Little Girl", & living at home...why does Dad/Boss need to be involved?
Now, if the daughter was still under-age, then yes, I fully would understand.
Or if the guy was asking for her hand in marriage, then again, I would understand.
But, in my adult life I have NEVER heard of anyone (@ least those I knew) who asked permission before asking someone on a date.
To top it all off...at the end of the show, the guy finally asks the boss, & the boss tells him, basically, that there's no way his precious daughter is going to date a lowly gunsmith like her Daddy.
And the boss gives the guy an ultimatum...date my daughter & lose your job, or keep your job & forget about the girl.
What kind of BS is that?
Just exactly what kind of Prince Charming does Daddy think is good enough for his Princess?
(who, as someone mentioned previously, isn't going to win any beauty contests, IMO)
