You need to understand that when you order a custom holster, you wait for it to get made. El Paso Saddlery is a custom holster maker.

If demand is high at the moment you order, you get in line and maybe wait longer. But in my experience from dealing with them over the years on numerous occasions, I've never been disappointed when the holster/gun rig arrived.

If you want quick, try Walmart. If you want quality, El Paso Saddlery won't disappoint you.

That would be fine but they should have made that clear when I ordered the holster. No where on their site does it say "allow 3-4 months for delivery"

That's what you get when you rely totally on internet shopping at places you know nothing about. A huge majority - huge majority - of their customers understand. An occasional or one time buyer probably never got the memo from experience as to how they do business. The quality of their products explains why they do business as they do.

Most sites don't have enough band width space to answer every T, D, & H question that comes along from the casual one-time buyer. Caveat emptor - Let the Buyer Beware - applies even to internet shopping.... Next time you'd probably remember and know, but I would bet good money that you'd still complain the second time around wanting special treatment.

BS it should be stated on the sight. I was not looking for any special treatment just honesty. I could skin the bull and tan and make my own holster myself in less then 3-4 months. Pi@# poor company not to make the delivery clear before taking my money. And how can you call their standard holster "custom" nothing custom about it, its one of the common modles they sell.

OK. I give up. Carry on troop. You obviously know what all the right answers for you are.

So that no one gets driven away from considering El Paso Saddlery by this buyer's inexperience with such things, I'll just say that El Paso Saddlery is a tremendous supplier of very good quality holsters. Bar none.

If you need something yesterday, they probably can't help you every time. Even though they have numerous "common modles" that they sell, they do not have a huge inventory of everything you might want hanging on the wall waiting for your call.

As a result, if you want one of their holsters you might have to wait until they can make it for you. Pure and simple. I've bought from them for years knowing this and I've never been disappointed by what I got from them when it arrived.

There's an old addage: Poor planning on your part does not necessarily constitute an emergency on my part. That is how they operate. Because El Paso Saddlery is a custom holster maker, plan ahead, or at least be smart enough to ask for delivery times if it's vital to your satisfaction.

Hopefully then you won't bad mouth an excellent supplier of quality leather goods on the internet because you failed to ask if they could meet your expectations as to delivery times.

Not calling ahead on a custom, hand made holster is silly. About as silly as asking $300 for a stripped $100 AR lower....

Would you ever just send a box of components to a gun smith to have a rifle put together? I don't think so. Most folks forget these places still have telephones.

Every holster is hand made. They are all custom.

I bought that lower from a member on here in March for $250 and was happy to get it at the time. I was looking for a AR-10 striped lowed but the way things were going it was not looking like I could get one and may never get one. So I offered this one for what I had in it including shipping. Big deal.
