SureFire Cutomer Service Blows

I have been a SureFire Flashlight fan for several years now. I have 2 6P's and a G2 and all have worked great with exceptional lighting ability.

However, on Oct. 25, 2007 I sent in a 6P that was not working (I already changed out batteries, bezel, bulb, tail cap switch, and bulb that worked fine in other products) and I also sent in a poor excuse for an IR Filter. I asked them to exchange the IR Filter for a blue and red lense filter, fix my 6P and get it back to me ASAP. Well, I went all the way through deer season without it and know I need it for Predator hunting. SPecifically the contest I am entering this weekend.

Today was my 6th or 7th call to the customer service and it is the same thing. I'll look into it and call you back. Now I am p I ss ed off! 2 1/2 months swapping out the body of my flashlight and swapping out 2 filters. Give me a break....

Now I have to go out and buy another flashlight with the right filters...you can bet your azz it will not be a surefire!

Great timing, I was going to get one next time I went to Sportsmans Warehouse. Now I will not, sounds like they operate like Richards Microfit Stocks. I want to get a good flashlight, any other recommendations?

Man that stinks to hear such bad service from a company which has a great product. For an all around small light I dont think you could beat that G2 for 35 bucks. Keep on them, have you written them a letter or e-mail, have you gone to the top yet, or just the CS guys, gals?

I hate surefire. I bought a G2 at basspro which for just a little truck/tacklebox light $35 is quite abit since I have 4 maglights over 8 years old that all still have the original bulb(one of which I ran over with my truck just to test it). I used it in the house a couple times with the lights off to test it, done fine. I went outside and was gonna use it while strapping my 4 wheeler down in the truck and set it down on the tailgate with the cap twisted to stay on. As soon as I started to set it down the light just went dead. well the body started heating up VERY hot and I pulled the batteries out and threw it back in the pack. Junk.

furhunter - I agree. I like Surefire and they are the best in the market as long as you do not need a long burn time.
After writing this, and after another call to the top of the chain in Customer Service, they gave me a tracking number, told me my light, red filter, blue filter, and a box of batteries for the hassle are in rout red priority.

After I talked with the head honcho, she called me back pretty pizzed. She said she told the guy handling my account to send it out last week...it never happened.

I hope this is a rare occurance, as I, and our military, think they are one of the best on the market.

I'm glad to see that resolved because my G2 is nice. The batteries are a little more money though. We recently converted a maglite mini to LED hoping it will last longer. It is bright but doesn't carry far at all.

tripod - not to go off on Surefire and turn around and praise them or anything....but I have had more luck outof there batteries than any other. Plus they are a heck of a lot cheaper than buying them off the shelf. I think a box of 12 cost $25 or so.

I agree, just wish I knew someone that would split a box around here. The local gun store sold them reasonable in single but they retired last year.

I think it was an isolated incident you had cwbycrshr. I have found Surefire to have excellant customer service on several occasions. We have Surefire products on every one of our department Benelli S90 Shotguns, almost all of our AR's and some of our Remington 870's. They are usually great about taking care of anything that comes up. Hard to beat Surefire quality. High Sierra your experience is the exception, not the norm. Every company, even Mercedes Benz turns out a turd every once in a while. I trust my life to Surefire products and would want nothing else for my undergun lights.

i have to say i was really impressed with them when i called them with a problem with my 6p. i hadnt used it in a long time and for some reason i guess the bulb had went bad.. either from dropping it or burnt out.. either way i had not used more then 3 sets of batteries in it since purchasing it.. i called them up, told them what was happening and they sent me two new bulb assemblies in the mail for free.. i thought that was really cool of them.. the guy was great to talk to and never batted an eye when i told him i had bought it a year ago at a cabelas store..
glad they worked it out for you though..
