Hey guys, I was just wondering what you guys think about Surefires as compared to the Streamlights that you all are using??? I am currently deployed to the middle east, but will be home soon and have "aquired" a few /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Gonna put one on my shotgun and another on my AR for night ops. They are 65 lumen...Are they brighter then the streamlights?? I know that Surefire quality is awesome, as they have been put through the ringer over here!

I've got both and I like the rechargeable streamlight better. The beam is more concentrated so it's good for a longer distance. Both seem about indestructable

Whaoooooo Kino .... lol... funny I just saw yor post on that other site ...LOL

Get home soon buddy , keep your head down and be safe .... I'll buzz off now so I don't hijack this thread ...

Hi Keno,

The ultra-stinger by (Streamlight)is 75,000 cwp,head rolls like a mag lite.

Great light for short hunting Range w/red lens....I have roughly 6 Hi-tech lights w/white leds made in Germany they are the brightest around and still dont come close to the ultra-stinger...for flashlight use.........

In my opinion surefire makes the best lights hands down. Everything from weapon lights to small hand helds, the only down side is they are so bright that battery life is minimal.

I use both. The streamlight is quite a bit brighter, but the surefire is handy because of it's compact size. I have a rechargeable one, with an extra battery, and it makes a good light to hunt wounded or dead, but not great for long distant hunting. Randy
