Looks like an awfully nice Ruger 96/44 on Gunbroker

Ruger 96/44 Lever

If I hadn't spent so much money on hunting lately I'd have to have that rifle to go with my 96/44 as a spare. The Ruger lever guns are my favorite by far, smooth as butter action and the rifles just feel right on the shoulder.

They are spendy, I've had two....the first one shot poorly and I got rid of it. I always missed the rifle so I purchased another one awhile back off Gunbroker, that one is a tack driver and even though I paid a good bit for it I have no regrets.

I'm still on the fence about this one, the fact that it does look pristine and has box too makes it very tempting. I expect it will go over $800 before it's done.

Sure is but I'm betting I don't get it....I'm pretty much at the hard limit for what it's worth to me. I had a lower limit until I went back and ogled it again.

I'll be very happy if it does sell that low, it would be awful nice to have a like new one tucked in the back of the safe for a rainy day.

Ive got a Ruger 96/44 that I got from a friend after several years of lusting over it. One of my favorite rifles in my safe. Good luck on the auction Dixiedog 1.

I've got a bit of a thing for the Ruger 44's....I still prefer my Deerfield 99/44 magazine rifle for deer hunting but the 96/44 lever is a hoot at the range. I also really enjoy the 77/44 bolt rifle also. Pistol calibers in a handy rifle are always a treat, low recoil and big ping when you hit the steel.
