the Bonanza CO-AX press accepts standard dies but they are not screwed into position. Instead there is a machined window with a ball detent to hold dies in position & dies are snapped in & out.
the locking ring makes contact with the ball detent to insure proper positioning. Forester recommends their "cross bolt" lock'n rings but i find reddings work as well.
One I found is that while rcbs and lee dies fit the threads of my hornady LNL progressive, some aren't long enough to work. I've had to replace a few sets switching to it.

Any clamp type lock ring will work well as they stay perpendicular to the die. The set screw type do not give as good a results as they allow the die to lean slightly off vertical when in use.
