T/c compass thoughts and opinions

Hi all, I’m looking at possibly getting a t/c compass in 270 Winchester. Those of you who owned this particular rifle, what are your thoughts on the rifle concerning the accuracy of it? I’ve owned several venture rifles and they are very accurate. I’m just wondering about the compass model at this point. Is it worth owning or should I forget it? Thanks in advance

I have one in .308, only bought it because it was on sale for about $199.
Love it, shot it several times, shoots fantastic. No complaints at all. I recommend it.

I own a couple of Ventures that shoot lights out. I don't own a Compass, but would not hesitate to buy one. Lots of videos on Youtube with Compass rifles in several different calibers. If
I already didn't have a great shooting 270 (Marlin XL7) I would get one in a heartbeat.

Great I may have to pick one up as they have a 75 mail in rebate rite now. The tc venture blued rifle is being discontinued by Thompson center. Didn’t know if you all knew that

They maybe great rifles but when T/C was T/C, their customer service was about as bad as it could be. I swore off T/C's and never looked back. To each their own, just not for me.

I owned several TC ml guns since the early '70's at had great warranty service. No experience since they were bought.

I'm very tempted on the venture or a compass just because they are such a good buy but I own one Tikka and have seen others shot and there has never been a poor shooter in the bunch. Gotta decide soon.

I have a Compass in .204. Love it, someone on eBay is selling a reduced weight trigger spring for like $10, totally worth the money.

I bought one in 6.5 Creedmoor because it was the cheapest way to try out that caliber and it is already threaded for a suppressor and I had read good reports on accuracy. I had compared it to the Ruger American and while both have cheap stocks I liked the T/C stock better. I sighted it in with factory ammo and then fired a few groups. I was extremely pleased to say the least after firing three five shot groups that were all under a 1/2 inch at 100 yards. I would not hesitate to buy another.

i dont know what the 6.5cm compass rifle is threaded for. but it is NOT for a suppressor. i pity the poor fool that screws a suppressor on that rifle the way it comes from the factory and shoots it. probably be a baffle strike on the first shot. almost guaranteed.

This is interesting; crooked, sloppy, or what?

there is no shoulder for a suppressor to butt up against. the barrel diameter at the muzzle is .652.
it is threaded 5/8-24 9which is .625 diameter0. that gives about a .014 shoulder.

that is not even in the same universe as what is recommended by the suppressor manufactures. they recommend .725 MINIMUM. have no clue what t/c was thinking when they threaded those barrels.
