Quote:In a statement, Taco Bell said the company was offering counseling to the restaurant workers and was cooperating with the investigation.

I wonder if the shooters still have a job. I went and looked up their company policies on employees;

"Do not bring weapons of any type in the restaurant or on
company property. This is true even if the law permits you to carry weapons. This includes anything that could be used as a weapon"

Hmmm. Maybe the "counseling" was not what I thought?

Employees shoot suspected robber at Taco Bell
Posted 8:56 PM, September 7, 2017, by Tribune Media Wire

CLEVELAND – Three employees at a Cleveland Taco Bell shot and killed a suspect during an attempted robbery, according to police.

Officers responded to the restaurant on W. 117th street at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday morning for a report of a robbery with shots fired.

When police arrived, they found a suspect with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers administered first aid until EMS arrived. The suspect later died at MetroHealth Medical Center. The medical examiner later identified the suspect as 24-year-old Cleveland resident De'Carlo Jackson.

Another man, believed to be Jackson's accomplice, had already taken off by the time officers arrived.

Police say a preliminary investigation indicates that three Taco Bell employees, all armed, shot at the two suspects after they came into the restaurant wearing masks and ordered the employees to the ground at gunpoint.

A spokesperson for Taco Bell told WJW that the location is a franchise store, and gun policy is at the discretion of the owner.
Police continue to investigate and it's not yet clear whether or not the employees will face any charges in the shooting. No arrests had been made as of Thursday afternoon.

If I have to choose between defending my life against armed thugs or losing a $9.00 an hour job .... well that's a no-brainer.

Good for the local Franchise owner for obviously letting his employee's defend themselves.

It's clearly needed in this case.

The owner still gets to keep the money his business made, some dirt bags don't get to steal it, and the employee's got to protect themselves.

I would bet that place is either fire bombed by BLM, or hopefully others will patron that place more since they know it's safe to be there legally to eat, and robbers will go somewhere else.

The thing that really stood out to me was THREE employees fired. THREE.

Awesome.

Now just waiting for the lawsuits from the perps family for "wrongful death" or some other nonsense...
