Guess Im to tacticool for hunting. My molle little chest pouch (not plate carrier) sure does hold spare ammo, calls, snacks, and basic survival stuff quite well though. And I have been known to want to put a lift kit under my rig, heck I try to "pimp out" anything I own just for kicks and giggles

Careful, when it comes to tacticool, the plate carrier without plates is king!!! Super hero if your mollie pouches are of a different camo patern.... Just saying

Just funny as [beeep]. Thanks for making me spit my morning brew all over the screen. Love this place.

Nice burn, its funny since he trolls here and makes fun of you guys on other forums, and then calls out other people that do the same thing.

I agree, he got a chuckle out of me but if you are talking about the guy on ar15 that referred to Predator Masters as the short yellow bus of internet gun forums that was not me. I don't have an account there but I do check it out for technical info and news from time to time.

Well that's what he said. That's not what I said but considering the title of this subforum is "AR's" I don't find that to be an unreasonable statement.

Just like everyone doesn't have to have a Schmidt&Bender or a Premier Scope to have a capable tool that gets the job done the same applies in most products we use for hunting. If you want the best that's fine but I am sure that most folks here are not preparing for the apocalypse or the Zombie uprising as those other websites. While they are discussing the best SHTF ammo to stockpile and what kind of food supplies to set in that is not necessarily what we at PM are concerned about. If there are disgruntled folks that want to disparage what is discussed here that's fine too. I learned a LONG time ago there are plenty of people who know more than I on any given subject and I learn something new everyday. But I also know there are plenty of folks that are keyboard experts that are "All hat and NO cattle" and then there are others who just have strong opinions and want all to hear them. Folks like that are usually banned shortly and go to other websites to disparage the short bus idiots that banned them.

Grenade pouches work great for carrying apples/oranges.

My motto is generally "Go big or go home". Im not a half measures kind of guy but I too understand the practicality of funding our hobbies.

The Schmidt and Bender Zenith or U.S. Optics 5-23 SN-3 T PAL are the ultimate hunting scopes. I will eventually get one but until that time I make do with mid price scopes like the Leupold MK 4 LR/T's.

Some of us do have to hold to some kind of a budget, If I work and pay the household bills, whats left over goes into savings, and some to the gun,& hunting hobby.:)

I agree Im on a super tight budget. I had a buddy from work ask me how I can afford it all. I told him it's all about priorities. I said that six pack of beer a day or that carton of smokes never makes it onto my list. If you do the math it works out to a new Colt 6920 Carbine or Leupold MK 4 scope every six months.

It is not how big you are or best you can buy it is how well you do with what you have or can afford.
I have seen and been with hunters that have beat up stock rifles and shot guns and out shot and out stalk and hunt your go big or go home kind of guys.

Well I don't know about all that. My first Roosevelt Bull Elk was shot with a World War 1 German 1917 Erfurt 8mm Mauser with open v notch sights. I stalked it crawling on my hands and knees for nearly a half mile in the Oregon Coast range which has the most difficult hunting conditions in the continental USA. Many east coast and midwest hunters wouldn't even want to get out of the truck if they saw the kind of terrain guys like me hunt in all year long in the Pacific Northwest.

So I have done it all with bare bones equipment I just choose not to anymore.

Ya, I don't drink or smoke, and the kids have been out of the house for over 5 years so I have more $$$$ to spend on this hobby. My wife never has a problem with the money I spend since my kids are usualy involved in the hunting or shooting with me. I never judge a man on his choice of guns or equipment, as long as he enjoys hunting and shooting thats good enough for me. Good Hunting and Shooting----Riflemann

Do you by chance drink Dos Equis when you do drink beer?
