Taking the plunge

I've lost alot of hearing in both of my ears and it has me thinking of going suppressed. The only info I have on suppressors is reading this thread so I need so good opinions. What's better a trust or doing it as an individual? Next what suppressor should I be looking at. Here is my priority list with 1 and 2 interchangeable.
1. Db reduction
2. accuracy
3. weight
4. length
5. price

It is for my AR-15 .223 5.56 and I use it mostly for hunting and light range work. Thanks for any opinions.

Set up a trust, for the extra money it is worth it.
I've ran quite a few on more than a few .223 AR platforms, more so in the field hunting and filming, a select few at the range to verify zero and POI shift and meter, etc.
SRT Hurricane
SRT Hurricane XL Ti
OPS .224 V.A.P.R.
SAS Sentinel
YHM Phantom 556
YHM Phantom 556 QD
Gemtech G5
Liberty Varminter
Mack Bros. MB556FAL
Lane LLC scorpion 556

I've ran a couple more but they aren't listed because they weren't .224/.223 dedicated caliber specific (ex. the AAC cyclone with an 5/8X24 - 1/2X28 adapter), I've had quite a few fellas call me the past couple weeks on what we prefer, and use mostly for what we do.
Any ?'s shoot me a pm or give us a call.

Trust is the way to go.

Is 5.56 the only thing your going to run it on or you wanting something for multiple calibers later on?

The only other rifle I have is a bolt action .270 that I hadn't really thought about suppressing because I don't shoot it that much. I would like to add to my arsenal but as of right now I would probably just be using it on the ar.

If your only running it on the 5.56 I would suggest the SAS Sentinel. Its a titanium can built for precision. If your wasting ammo with mag dumps or want something for a high rate of fire look to the SAS M47. Same can just built out of stainless steel.

I am also a huge fan of the TOMB system. You can put a flashhider on your AR but later on down the road if you want to use the can on a bolt gun you could put a TOMB brake on it and swap the can around. It offers a lot more than just modularity and I'll be glad to explain if that sounds like something that appeals to you.

I prefer silencerco products. I have a specwar 556 and you would be happy with it. Little heavy, but you cant hurt it... I have a saker in jail and am in the middle of a form 1 buildi png one..

Trust is def the way to go.. Be careful though, its an addiction...!

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll be looking into the products y'all suggested. Hearing protection being at the top of my list do y'all think that a suppressor on an ar will make a huge difference on reducing the sound?

A quality suppressor will make a HUGE difference in noise. 16" and shorter ARs are notorious for being loud but my SAS Reaper makes both of my hunting ARs pleasant to shoot. I run a 6.8SPC for deer and a 5.56 for yotes, both in 16".
