Tall BiPod

I currently have the Rapid Pivot bipod and like it but would rather have a bipod similiar to the Harris style but could go as high as my Rapid Pivot bipod. I was watching a Randy Anderson video today and see this bipod. I have no idea what brand it is but it looks like it goes higher than the tallest Harris bipod I've seen. Anybody got an id on this bipod? Or does anyone know of a Harris style bipod that will reach up to around 40"? You can see the bipod about 18 seconds in and throughout the rest of the video.

Any help would be appreciated.

That's about a 27" bipod, not a 40". Harris makes a bipod that goes to 27". Plenty tall enough for anyone under 6'8" to use while sitting on the ground.

You wont find a stud type bipod taller than 27" at most.
Ive looked for a long time & that was the maximum height I ever found for all brands of bipods. Only way higher was to go with shooting sticks or bog pod type sticks.

I'm guessing that he is using the Swagger... it goes to 29 1/4 inches...

or you can add DIY extensions on your 27" long caldwell bipods

BUT.... the swaggers are way more flexible

WELL... after looking at that video again.... it looks like something other than a swagger...HMMMMmmmmm

Thanks for the replies. I agree the 27" is long enough on flat ground but sitting on a terrace or a steep hill won't work too well with the max height of 27". I've maxed out my Rapid Pivot bi-pod plenty of times.

Dan - you are right. Fun hunts to watch. He's actually the reason I've been calling for around 17 years now...I'm getting old.

Bought a Swagger "long" (41") & really like it. Very accommodating for my "hill country" here in SW PA.. As an added bonus I can use either my Les Johnson ground seat or my Primos blind chair. Before the swagger I used a Caldwell 27.5" for the ground seat & carried a set of Primos short tripod trigger sticks when needing the blind chair.

That does look to be it. Darn - looks like it only goes to 30".

and 30 might be stretching it. i took it out of the package and extended the legs. did not look quite as long as my tall harris.

i still like the stoney point sitting/kneeling size the best of all of them.

That is what I have been using... which works great
