Hello all,

If you are tired of having to settle for hunting/outdoor clothing that is too short, too small, no selection in your size, poor quality of clothing that do offer your size, then I would like to hear from you. In response to this lack of selection in the current outdoor market I am going to be designing a line of hunting/outdoor clothing with the tall outdoors man/woman in mind. Though I have my own issues I would like to hear from you. What specific problems you have with the clothing you currently own?

Thank you for your input!

I am 6'4". My main problem is the length of shirts and jackets and coats. Most tails are too short because I am long-waisted. My pet peeve is any company that makes a nice coat and doesn't put a lot of pockets both inside and out. A coat or jacket with only a couple of pockets is worthless I don't care how well it is made.

I am 6-2, 300 lbs. long waisted and run into the same problems "Z" stated. I am very wide through the shoulders. I have a rhino butt and thighs. I have long arms. Finding trouser to fit is difficult. If they fit me in the thighs and butt they are to big in the waist. Same thing for the shirt. If they fit me in my arms and neck they look like a tent on me. Matter of fact some of my clothing has "Omar The Tent Maker" stamped on the tags LOL.

Most manufactures build clothing based on the idea that the more you weigh the shorter and heavier you must be.

I have been described as McGill-a-the-Gorilla so take it for what its worth.

We don't even want to get into my foot size, 13 EEEEEE, or the size of my hands.

My personal opinion, anyone over 5'6" is a genetic freak and should be hunted for sport

Pants are always an issue for me, have been my entire life. As above, if you have a 30" waist, you must be 9' tall. And if you have a 30" inseam you must weigh 4 metric tons. I'm assuming tall people run into the opposite end of the same equation. I'm built like an athlete, nothing fits right. By the time you fit my shoulders the shirts too long. If you fit my length I get to hand your tux jacket back to you sans sleeves (should have listened to me tux rental lady, or at least believed your own measurements).

Tall and skinny or short and squat, clothes are a problem

6'4" here. Most shirts are too short at the waist and also in the sleeves.

Cabela's brand outdoor type clothes (not just camo) have been my choice for a while because they make Tall sizes and the quality is excellent. But it seems they have less Tall options recently, it seems many new items are not even offered in Tall, or only certain colors are in Tall.

I see lots of quality stuff I'd like to buy from other makers like Columbia or North Face etc but are not offered in Tall sizes. The lack of Tall options is frustrating.

6'5" 285. Im with Dirty Dog on Cabelas not as many options in tall sizes. I still buy most of my camo from them as they have the lighter colored western colors. Columbia has a good selection of tall sizes and is a very good product, just not in camo.
