Tasco Euro Class

We have an older tasco euro class on our old rem. pump action 30-06 that was my grandpa's. It does have a 30mm tube, and it is a 3-12x50. Is it a good scope or is it just another tasco? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif It looks real clear. I may be putting it on another gun that we use; the 06 is more of a cool thing to have because it was my grandpa's. If it is just another tasco, I will buy a leupold to go on my new abolt, but if it is a good scope i'll use it.

The older Jap made Tascos are much better than any of the newer ones. Higher grade of glass....

The Titans were also very good for the money.....

Glass wise, it should be as good or better. Neither of the 2 Leupys you mention are multi-coated. The cheap Leupolds leave much to be desired, optically, IMO. I'll only buy a VXII or better........

The Euro Class Tasco's are good glass, no doubt. I had the exact same scope on a calling rifle and sold it for no good reason.

I hunted Yotes in Az with the scope and it never failed me, really beat the heck out of it in the front seat of my truck bouncing down washboard roads.

I will tell you that the coatings on the scope's glass are great, very bright in low light conditions. It is a better scope than my Leupold VX II in 4-12 AO in as far as the quality of glass and lens coatings.
