TC Encore, 22 Hornet, 21", 1-14 Twist, Loads?

I needed a bigger hammer than the 22mag and see my Encore in the corner doing nothing so I bought a MGM barrel in 22 Hornet for predator control and will be topping it with Thermal.

So with this combination what would be a good starting "off the shelf" load to get sighted in and obtain brass, and what will be a good 200yd hand load for general unwanted varmints that get to close to the pasture, cattle and house/buildings.

Thank you.

My cz 527 American has a 1-16 twist and can shoot the hornady 45 grain soft point ( I’ve gotten a 1/2 inch 3 shot group with it) and the privi partisan 45 grain soft point ( usually around a 1.5 inch 100 yard group) if your looking for downrange performance I’d say try the hornady 45 grain . They cost less than the Remington and Winchester loads anyway.
I don’t hand load so I can’t offer any information there.

I like 35 grain V-Max and 40 grain Sierra HP's in my K-Hornet. LilGun powder and a Remington 6 1/2 primer work very well in my rifle. Both shoot good in my rifle but the Sierra shoots the best.

Sir i'll tell you what works for me in 22 Hornet.I've used a CZ 527 Hornet and in all honesty have whacked more coyotes than a man deserves.Early season out to 150 yards ,the Hornady 35 grain v-max works great, out to 200 yards,HSM,factory 40 grain Berger does it well,as well as Hornady 45 grain soft point match, beyond 200 if i can't hit the neck or head i grab the TC Venture in 204. Never felt undergunned with the Hornet.Hope this helps ,i'm a new member, and when i master posting pics i can back up what i say 150%,by the way love this site.

I run a couple of Hornets (and a K-Hornet in a Contender). 35 grain V-max & H110 is my small varmint load. I run 46 grain Hornady bee bullets with H110 to in a reduced load for coons (rivals .22 mag loads). I want to say 11.5 grains IIRC.
