TC Icon , Sako , Weatherby ?

Why pay Sako price when you can get a Tikka for less! I have a Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 25-06 and LOVE it! I also just bought my wife the identical gun in 270 for Christmas.

I had to use T/C customer service a few months back on an Icon I purchased. It would not extract fired cases without a lot of effort and had to be sent back to the factory. I received a brand new rifle 17 days after I shipped it to them....not business days.... but calendar days....they paid for shipping....and gave me a free magazine to boot.

I've never owned a Tikka, but have several Sako's. I have never bought one brand new though. Too expensive, but I have got some excellent deals on used ones. Last two were an A5 in 243 and a 579. Both are excellent shooters and very well built. A steel and walnut Sako is worlds above a Tikka with plastic parts, again IMO.

Isn't it about time for someone to shout "Buy a Salvage and be done with it"?

Must be nice. I have had to call twice and been told twice my extractor was on it's way. I called again yesterday, and the woman I talked to told me she dosent know why anyone told me by extractor was on it's way because they haven't even received parts to mail out to people. So basically I was fed a line of bulls*** twice from tc. I'll never own another one

I have a Tikka t3 stainless/laminate in .25/06, the thing is a flat out shooter, I've killed several woodchucks with it, and my younger brother shot his first whitetail with it this year. yeah, its got some plastic on it, but i've hunted with it for 3 seasons now with no troubles what so ever.

One of the customer service reps(they only have 5 total) went above and beyond for me. If you would like I could PM you the name of the customer service rep and the name of the customer service manager. For all I know these people may no longer be employed since S&W has pulled their little trick, but it might be worth a shot. Hate to hear you have had such a problem with your rifle.

I Asked Getfoxy, if TC is actually building the actions? If they are building them, why cant they get parts? You need an extractor to finish a Bolt. So whats up? Doesent make much sense. I doubt that Id go TC, except for my Contender. At least the parts are available.

If you wouldn't mind yes please send me the name. There has to be someone who can get my piece. They told me they didn't have any.... How are they building rifles?
