TC triggers

looking at the TC venture and the compass because they have compact stocks, I was wondering how the triggers are. can they be adjusted or does one need a after market trigger. thanks Spike

Doing a quick search, typing in "Thompson Trigger" revealed
spring kits from Mcarbo and ebay. I don't believe anyone sells
an actual after market trigger.

I kind of like the trigger. I have an older (2010) venture in .243. I've loosened the screw out as much as I can and the trigger is good. I'm looking at a spring kit to put in it just because they do make them and its a cheap way to get a better trigger.

After shooting my savage accu-triggers and CZ fully adjustable triggers with a single set trigger and then shooting the Venture, it's not very good, but If all I do is shoot the TC then it's fine. I'm just spoiled with the others.

I have a Compass in .308 Win., I thought the stock trigger was pretty awful. I couldn't find any aftermarket triggers or parts except the kit from Mcarbo. I bought it for about $20 and installed the heavier of the 2 springs that it came with. It was a big improvement over the stock trigger, but still not fantastic IMHO.

If you are still concerned about the trigger, YouTube m-carbo spring kit. $13 and it takes the venture trigger from 4 lbs to 2lbs. It has step by step instructions on how to do it so no guess work.
