tc100c2 850nm ir flashlight

I like that guys are putting shrouds or filters over the end of the light, has anyone tried a longer shroud?

Say 10 - 12 inches in length??

Just curious and i will be trying different lengths on my AR.

On would think that if he had one long enough it could be adjusted to coincide with the reticle for the most part?

They were ordered on Monday and sent out on Monday!

I should have them today and you are correct, fast & friendly service for sure!

I will be taking a trip to Ace Hardware tonight so i can rig up some type of a shroud and possibly some type of windage/elevation........
 
Boondocks has the halo shield, I have a couple they are neoprene and work great! They are light specific though, but I'm sure Jeremiah could make one for the eagletacs. I ordered two of the tc100c2 myself after reading the great reviews, hopefully they will be here today.

Yes they do Phil!

I have one for my Kill Lights, it is just a piece of Neoprene sewn into a sleeve and then slid over the light.

My 11 year daughter old could sew one if i asked her. Problem is finding the neoprene at a decent price.

I am now looking to make something that will not only shroud the backsplash, i am going to make something that will also adjust windage and elevation for the most part for the one that will go on my AR.

I will use some type of PVC for the helmet mounted one.

 
Now that I have the two IR's in hand I made a quick trip into ACE Hardware!

I found that a white (for now, gonna sand it and paint it flat black) 1 1/4 in by 12 inch extension tube almost fits perfectly! (Indoor Plumbing section)With this extension tube it has on one end a slip joint with a plastic washer, you can put the head of the IR into the slip joint and then tighten it dow and WALLAH, no need for duct tape or anything else to fill in the gap. Works perfectly!! $5.90 tax included!!

Another brain storm I had while i was walking around the store was that I am now going to take the windage and elevation mount off of my IRK2 ELR and mount it to my new eagle tag;-) 2 simple screws and some Blue Locktite.
Then I will have super brightness and a beam that shines inside of my reticle!!!!
