hello, a few years ago, i got a wonderfull b-day present, a savage model 11 in .223

wondering ? how hard would it be ? to swap barrels, to the 22-250 ?

i have three AR'S in .223, was thinking ? i'ed like a 22-250.

also ? would it be hard to putt iron sights on it ?

thanks

Swapping barrels is very easy and a new bolt head for .308 .22-250 ect.. is on sale right now at Midway for like $12.95 you can swap out the barrel and bolthead and you will need a mag box for 22-250 about another $12 bucks or less.

Peabody i have the model 11 in .223 as well, it's a great rifle and will shoot tight groups futher than you think. Rather than going to the work of putting open sights on it why not a low powered large objective scope? It will cost about the same and would work better if yopu get a chance at a long shot. My longest yote shot was with that rifle, it took two shots but was 526yds, that rifle will shoot. blue

Peabody,

How far down in the hills do you live. I live up in Fulton. If you would want to come up, I can switch your rifle over in about 1/2 hr.

PM me if interested.
