Tell me what you think about the Sig Cross

I really blew these off for the last few years, now all of a sudden I see the value of a bolt gun that's light, easily tripod mountable and very portable, with a stock that's adjustable for the whole family. Having no sons but a short wife and a daughter who likes to shoot I see the value in adjustable stocks as I've seen how poorly traditional rifles fit the females in my life lol.

If anyone has good or bad feedback based on personal experience with these rifles I'd appreciate hearing about it.

I bought one for my wife and she loves it. It’s definitely accommodates a smaller framed shooter. Originally got the 6.5CM and it shot the 140 class bullets very well. 143 eldx and 147eldm were easily half inch. The triggers pretty good, I’m not too picky on triggers though. The folding stock was a huge plus for her because she just straps it to the pack.

We liked the gun so much but she wanted a little less recoil so I got it re barreled to a 22CM with a 20 inch tube. She’s killed two deer and a few coyotes with it so far.

I even steal it for day calling from time to time haha.

I got it from Preferred Barrel Blanks in Utah. I didn’t get the extension with it, but you can order one from them with a new extension. I just used the existing one.

I’ve had two PBB’s and they have been really good shooters.

I have Zero experience with them.
Although I have helped several with them when at the range in order to get zeroed. (surprising how many have no clue on scope adjustments at different ranges).

I do like the looks of the cross series that Sig is offering. Just watching this to see if more tidbits of information pops out on the Sig's capabilities. Glad to see a positive post about them.

I have one in 6.5 CM. I hate to be the negative one here but you ask. I won't say I don't like the rifle and it doesn't shoot well but there are a few things I don't like. I don't like having to fold the stock to get the bolt out. Trivial but still just something I don't like. The bolt release works but its chezzy. For the money the Sig cost, it could have had a much better release. I don't like having to remove half the rifle just to get the fore-end off. Lastly, I don't like the trigger being part of the action and I have no idea if someone could do anything to lighten the trigger pull. Many will say all my dislikes are trivial and they may be but you asked. Do I like the rifle? Yes I do. Does it shoot good? Plenty good for what it was made to do....hunting. Would I buy another? Probably not.

Thanks guys. Yes I did ask for honest reviews so thanks, and I was kind of curious about the trigger housing. I figured it was held in with pins? I do like 2 stage triggers but all my ar's break at about 2.5 lbs when I'm done with them. I hadn't seen anything about the bolt release either so that's good to know. I did know about folding the stock. I suppose they wanted to keep the cheek piece as long as possible I'm guessing.
