Temp. stable 223 powder that meters in a progressive press?

Quote: That's what I'm trying to do...see if I can make very consistent ammo on a 550.

Piece of cake. Find the accuracy node with varget or 4895 (both very short stick powders) and the Dillon will throw +/- .1 gr. with careful operation. Plenty accurate for hunting ammo.

I am of the school that believes "temperature sensitive" is an over-used term, but I don't load to the ragged edge, keep my ammo out of the sun, and temperatures don't swing as much here as they do up north or in the deserts.

I don't like cfe 223 with any bullets that are 55gr and under, if you load em up in the fall or winter you will blow primers in the spring or summer.
If you do load development in the summer with it, you get sub-par performance when it's -10 outside.
I don't like it and never will for light bullets. When i use 65 gr and heaiver bullets i dont have the problem when it's cold out, spooky powder, for me it's not worth it, to much stuff to remember.
