Tentative 60-Day Iran Ceasefire Deal Reached, Pending Trump’s Approval

If its not open in 4 weeks the blind will begin to see and it wont be what they want to see.
Yep, and in the meantime, you've got this little dog barking at the moon, making threats nobody takes seriously, and dragging America's credibility further down with him. America collecting tolls in the Strait isn't grounded in reality.

Still, he can try to walk it back all he wants, but the MOU speaks for itself. It guarantees 60 days of toll-free passage. After that, Iran will work with Oman and the other Gulf states to determine how the Strait is "administered." Where I come from, that is called "control."

And that $300 billion didn't just appear out of thin air. The agreement commits the U.S., alongside regional partners, to develop a reconstruction plan worth at least that much. Whether every dollar ultimately comes from U.S. taxpayers or not, that figure only exists because Trump agreed to it, and put it in writing.

Reality is that the MOU will most likely end up worth less than the paper it’s written on. What it really shows is how much the U.S. is willing to offer to keep the Strait open. "Peace through strength” has started to look more like weakness through empty threats.

Trump did what no other president has done in 47 years! Today, he authorized Iranian oil to be legally sold under a U.S. sanctions waiver. For the first time in nearly half a century, our brave president accomplished what every other president refused to do—he opened the door for Iranian oil once again.

A door that has been sealed since Jimmy Carter was president has now been opened. The last time Iranian oil was welcome in America, the internet didn't even exist. That's how long this moment has been in the making!

More winning!!! Gooooooo Team!!!

Wow...., ^^^.

You sure seem to know alot? CNN, MSNBC?

You've got nothing but shallow accusations and lazy labels. Pick one thing I’ve said and prove it wrong. If all you've got is "TDS" and "CNN”, that’s not a rebuttal; its an admission you don't have one to defend this bs. It makes you uncomfortable so you attack the messenger instead of reality.

Kid

Silly CNN and MSNBC, convincing Trump he lifted sanctions on Iran. I guess he'll have to figure out whether he actually did it. But if he did, don't worry—he assures us the money will be used to buy food for their citizens from our farmers. 😂

Spoon feeding in the long run, teaches nothing more than the shape of the spoon…

I don’t recall calling it a “deal” either—that’s exactly the point, it’s a memorandum of things we agree to do while they negotiate an actual deal. The pattern is the same: more concessions on our side while Iran has made their demands clear. At this point it’s not a dead horse—it’s just a steady drip of new lows in what we’re willing to give up while we get strung along.

The situation in this forum has changed. It used to be discussion-first—people would comment on a post, step away for a few hours, and come back to pages of back-and-forth. Real conversation, heated at times, with a mix of viewpoints that actually engaged the issues. It needed moderation heavily at times, and some members were banned because they exchanged banter, pushing things far enough to cross lines.

There were memes and sarcasm then too, but they didn’t replace the discussion. Members like AZmasterblaster (RIP Lyle) often added real commentary alongside articles, which kept threads moving and substantive.

Now that balance has shifted. A lot of that has been replaced by meme chains instead of dialogue. This isn’t aimed at one group—it applies across both sides of the political spectrum. Whatever side you’re on, if the shoe fits

It doesn't matter which side of the argument you are on or where you get your news from.... One thing is for sure. To the average person in this country it is looking more and more like Iran has the upper hand and is making Trump look like an idiot. Where am I getting my information from? Just talking to people.

Trump will get on TV today and say that Iran has no one else to call the shots then tomorrow he is talking about a new deal. So if there is no one else left to call the shots, why do we have to make a new deal every two days?

So when do we admit that maybe we bit off a little more than we can chew? To me, it looks like what Putin did with Ukraine. He thought he could go in there and be done over night and here we are....... what, two years after it began?

The average person doesn't get into it enough to know what exactly is going on. What they see is $100 to fill up their tanks whenever it was less than $50. $8.00/lb for cheap 80/20 burger. Etc. To the average person, we are losing and losing big.

"To the average person, we are losing and losing big." according to CNN, MSN and the rest of the media. But the world soccer games stadiums are FULL, stores are still open and FULL. Hiways are FULL. Bars run out of booze, etc.

Wars aren't won because traffic is heavy or the stadium sold out. They're won when the objectives are accomplished. Everything else is just background noise.
