Texas Contests Dates??

Okay, from what I gather,

Feb 5-Comanche
Graham (?)
?
Feb 12-Hamilton
?
Feb 19-?

Please help me fill in the blanks!
Strawn, Abilene, Stephenville, Rising Star?????
 
psepro, My team won the Feb. 12th Hamilton hunt with 2 dogs, a bobcat, and 7 grays...we got big dog, cat, and coon also...just lettin you know.
 
Silver, thanks for posting about the Paducah hunt. Has there been a hunt there before? I haven't heard about it in the past. I've heard about but never been in the Childress hunt, by the way, is there still a contest in Childress?

Varmint308, is the Hamilton hunt neighboring counties only? I think the Stephenville one is, but not sure. Psepro-is 15 teams about normal for this hunt?

Thanks guys for keeping this post going. Info about areas huntable would be good if you hear of any more contests dates. Some contests I've found out limit to surrounding counties, which is understandable, but it stinks to drive to check in and find out you can't hunt your land, know what I mean!

Stephenville and Comanche are surounding counties for sure. Graham is not, which is Feb. 5. I think Hamilton is surrounding counties but not positive on it.
 
BigTex,this will be Paducahs first the rod and gun club is putting it on.Called childress but no word yet when i find out i will post it.!!
 
There is a 24hr hunt in Colorado City on Feb. 12. They should have a good turn out. $100 entry per team and optional pots for largest cat and dog....
 
Thanks PBHC on the C City hunt, know the check in time, and if there is a area limit as to counties or is it open to anywhere?

BigTex, there is no area limit on this one .The meeting place will be at T&T Transport on north 208 .Sign in is from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m..Check in is at 12:00 on Sunday....
 
A buddy called about the Strawn hunt this weekend, thought I would update. Looks like it might not rain after all, so maybe some of ya'll will get in a contest this weekend! Don't know if we'll get in Strawn or Abilene, who do ya'll think will have more teams? Also, any word on the Stephenville hunt?

I hunted the abilene hunt at north american outfitters the 12th and 13th. we came in second with 5 cats, a coyote, and 10 rabbits. should have had 7 cats but one ran off after it was hit and we could't find it and the other was a clean miss. lost by 15 points and cats are worth 30. go figure. the team that won had 2 coyotes, a fox, and 32 racoons with ten rabbits. nobody was seeing any coyotes. the one we shot was the only one we saw the entire time. we called up a mt lion, 8 bobcats and 1 coyote. we also passed up a few coons. the lion hung around for 5 minutes or so before vanishing. never would step into a clearing. the next hunt in abilene is in march. no firm dates yet but I'll post them when I find out sometime this week.
