Wow, What an honor to be selected as "Hunter of the Month." This comes at an interesting period of my life. 5 years ago I was told that I have Parkinson's disease. At that moment in time I promised myself that "I will never wave the white flag of surrender." Hunting seasons have come and passed and I still am fighting. 3 day ago I went under the knife (more like drill press) for 'Deep Brain Stimulation" surgery. Nothing like a couple of nickel sized holes in your skull make your day go better. As I lay in bed resting there is a new soft blanket of snow covering the Blue Mountains of Eastern Washington, but I will follow my wife's and neurosurgeon's advice to rest, with the hopes and dreams of another hunting season and a soft blanket of snow on the "Blues."

no cougar had a great time. sean a bobcat tuck in to some timber. tried calling it in. Called a coyote instead. Markts missed it. i gave him a hard time. of course first time we called this area. i called a bobcat in. got ready to take the shot and the bobcat took off. coyote walked up to were the bobcat was i missed that one. awsome area. that's three bobcat's and two coyote. i've called in there pretty good for the wetside. hope you are feeling well. bunch of predator magazine's heading to you tomorrow.Rick

Bear,
Sounds like a fun hunt. My brother and I always get to kick the other guy in the butt when we miss an easy shot. when you really miss a shot at an animal of a life time you keep your mouth shut. Thanks for the update

Congratulations Snag Point. Well deserved. Not many people will track a cat down without a dog. Now that we know "the rest of the story" I'll be praying all goes well and you're back out there giving them heck next season. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Congratulations SnagPoint. You deserve it.
It has killed me to see all the new snow in the 'blues' and I can't get there to chase cats...bummer season closed today.
You rest easy and I know you will.
