There's so many things wrong with this pic I don't know where to start. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

ROFL!!! I don't know what's worse, being the poor schumk who gets to be the bipod, or the one getting hugged around the waist by some dude. Those crazy frenchies!

That looks like it could be a pretty steady field position but who the *ell wants to use it. Don't ask, don't tell I guess. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Isnt that a British L115A1? That has to be British soldiers due to the BDU's that they are wearing and the gun. France does not have that advanced kind of riflery, The site must be informed incorrectly.

Sorry to bash everyones parade. Just correcting it.

It's gonna be pretty hard for the spotter to call the shot from that position huh? Brings a whole new meaning to "portable shooting rest".

Hey quit fartin, your foggin up my scope. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

How much does a rifle like that run? $3-$4k? And they can't spend $10 for a set of shooting sticks?

LOL!!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Makes me glad I'm a shotgunner, hehehehehe

I remember being used as a rest by a friend a few times... not quite like that though. I think we needed a higher rest to clear the grass

Someone else already pointed this out but I'll repeat it.

I retired from the USAF in 2001 and was stationed in Europe for ten of those years.

Although the pose is funny to look at - I am afraid those are not CHEESE EATING SURRENDER MONKEYS (AKA French Soldiers) but rather Members of Her Majesty's Army - and THEY are most definitely BAD to the bone for the most part. Be glad they are on our side - they are quite valuable allies! (Even if they do provide fodder for a funny photo.)

And yes, they can afford shooting sticks, bipods, etc. I suspect this is exercising "field expediency" however.

But still, It IS A funny photo!
