The Grey Wolf Returns to Utah

Today in Morgan Utah, a grey wolf found himself in a coyote trap. This wolf is presumed to be from one of the Yellowstone packs. Wildlife officials will be transferring the wolf back to Yellowstone. The wolf also was a collared canine and during the transfer will be fitted with a new collar. For weeks, there had been sightings and a few sheep killings. Pretty cool huh!

You won't thinks it's pretty cool when they take up residence and eat all your deer fawn and elk calves. Like they are up around Yellowstone,
cow/calf numbers are 10 calves for every 100 cows.

NYnovice, Be careful what you wish for!!Hrer's my take on the 12 days of wolf re-introduction.... 12 million dollars, 11 bunny-huggers, 10 road closures, 9 full-time biologists, 8 Earth-Firsters, 7 study areas, 6 years of research, 5 Environmental Impact Statements, 4 lawsuits filed, 3 miles of red tape, 2 farmers arrested, and a wolf that gets hit by a car! Steve, I quess you miss understand my post. I was delighted to see that the wolf was caught. I myself am an avid deer and elk hunter and we have enough trouble with the big cats. Where abouts in Wyoming are you? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Too bad they just didn't destroy him/her we have more than enough wolves out here in the west as you probably already know. I live in Riverton 23 miles north east of Lander.

Lots of coyote's, called in two on the same stand yesterday however, I passed them up because I was looking for a big Tom bobcat I had seen earlier. Going out again early in the morning, hope to find some cats. Good-Luck.

Where do you call home?

Steve
