Went back to the Hooch last weekend and had a blast. Got some waders (cheap) that fit like they’re custom made and tough as nails! I was able to fish close to the dam in the 50 degree water this time.

I sucked Saturday morning fishing behind folks and only managed 4. I took a long lunch break to hydrate (cramping bad) and regroup and went back that evening the last 1.5hrs of light and caught 8, lol.

Went back Sunday morning to explore a new section and still caught 5 more and lost 2 at the net before heading back home.

I’ll head back next weekend to explore new a new section!!

Any nymph with purple in it was the ticket last weekend.

Only posting some of the Browns…stockers don’t count, lol.

Well, just found out some bad news. I should be able to fish this coming weekend, but after that it’s either farther North or out of State.
The Lake that feeds this tailwater is starting to go through its stratification process and according to a guy I trust, the water turns pea colored and lacks the oxygen for good fishing. Pretty much September-November is shot.
I’m now researching out of State which means instead of 3.5hr drives I’m going to have 4.5-5.5hr drives, lol!!
