The milk stool......

That is really neat idea. Down here a lot of members of our predator hunting club use simple armless camp chairs from "Wally World" and just drape some camo over it to keep the shine down from the legs.

Around here your rear would sill get wet when that one legged thing sank in the ground. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

No rocky soil to support your wait here. Sandy loam can even swallow a four legged variety. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif

To solve that a round washer could be welded just above the rubber cap to keep it from sinking to far in sandy or sandy loam type soils and you may very well have a real item there..

Great idea!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

I think I see some 1 1/2 or 2" schedule 40 and some fittings coming my way, I also thought about doing that with one of those height adjustable aluminum walking canes?? but I couldnt wrestle it away from my dad, LOL, guess I will have to find one at the garage sales

Update.....
After spending a goodly portion of the last 3 days sitting on that dang milk stool at the WW-VI shoot, The best improvement that could be made, was to pad the thing. My bony azz was getting sore, so NASA furnished the ducktape to fasten a piece of foam on. Downright luxurious now.......

And it works well. Don

huntsman22,

I always enjoy viewing your craftsmanship & idea's. [Thinker's], I often give credit to the guys @ work. For coming up with a better idea.

Here's the updated generation II deallie..... Added a L-bracket for faster transport than clipping it to the beltloop. After using it on the p-dog shoot, I found that as often as yer up and down, it was a pain to unclip it for an unexpected, quickly needed shot.

Still hooks to a belt loop....

Or pocket....

I put a new camo pad on, with double-faced tape.....

Here's a couple shots of how to use it for a prone rest.

It kinda just keeps evolving........
Has anyone else built one yet? Like to see 'em if so.....Don

Wow Don, you have improved that thing. Thanks for a great idea. I remember you complaining about your sore butt. Looking better than ever /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif.

I suppose I really could have worded that better....LOL. Don knows I dont roll that way though. Nice work Don. The MILK STOOL is looking good my friend /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif.

Well, Niff-T.......Just shows to go ya, that those mississippi guys are real smart fellers. I dang sure ain't gonna get rich selling mine or overcharging for shipping. He had the same needs as I did, but I just didn't have the smarts to go that far.. Besides, mine was free..... And lighter..... and faster to deploy.... and no moving parts to break...... and no pointy thing to get skewered by, should I fall on it....

I didn't see ol' Roger post his idea here, and share info for those to copy and make one themselves, either.......

See where I'm going with this?
