well my view on this subject is this... IF YOU DONT WANT TO SEE IT DONT LOOK..if i want to blow them to PIECES then thats my right...but mabey you would feel better about yourself if we all just used a 22 lr or short and shoot them in the guts and let them suffer till they die....at least when they go to pieces they do NO SUFFERING AT ALL...
on the subject now i have shot a ground hog with a 300 wby mag with 180 gr..ballistic tip and it litterly turned it inside out...lol NOW THATS WHAT HUNTING IS ALL ABOUT...
It is quite obvious that everyone was brought up with different morals and hunting ethics.
The way that I was raised, Hunting was known as anticipation, hard work, and dedication.
The anticipation of the hunt...Waking up the morning of the hunt realizing that what you are willing to do that day is take the life of another living thing.
The hard work of getting set up in the proper location, working the wind to your advantage, keeping your rifle clean, sighted in, and shooting well. Getting to bed early and waking up the same, making it quietly to your stand, and taking every possible moment to be sure that you have everything that is necessary for the day.
The dedication, of realizing that every day you could possibly not get a shot off at your query, you might not even see it. A true hunter stays dedicated to the "sport" or hobby and will return for a better day. He realizes that it takes time and skill to become a successful hunter or sportsman, and is willing to make the sacrifice of the time.
It is understood that a hunter is taking the life of another living thing, but it is how he respects the animal that he kills. I know many hunters that say a prayer, YES, a prayer after killing an animal. They are proud to have been able to to learn the ways of another animal. They are proud to have known that they have come out on top. They realize that hunting is a privelege and NOT a right.
Quite obviously, everyone is brought up with different morals and ideas about hunting. What a fool I have been for not realizing this.
