The predator enticer decoy

OK Guys,

You may remember that some time ago, I was given the go ahead to offer a prototype predator decoy to ten hunters from this and the coyote gods board. Eric Lenz from the tail wagger decoy has been working on a predator decoy for a long time. (too long if you ask me. I have been bugging him to get this thing into production.)

Anyway, that group of hunters was selected for a variety of reasons. I wanted some folks from different parts of the country, some folks who are active hunters, some who would be honest in their assessments and some who would make good use of the decoy. So, I picked out ten folks and those ten received a decoy to try out.

It's been a while now and they've had a chance to try them. I also received a prototype of that decoy a bit ahead of them. I've been using mine for about a year now.

I've tried many types of decoys, some freebies and some I purchased. To be fair, they all work. This one just happens to work better.

I'm not going to make this into a selling issue for this decoy because, frankly, I don't get a dime off it. But, because it's so good, I want to tell you about it.

First and most importantly, it's SILENT! While it's electric and has a motore for it's movement, there is NO noise associated with it. Other decoys I've tried were sometimes downright noisey. Not a big issue on breezy days but take one out on a dead calm full moon night and you'll be amazed how noisy they are.

One of the other nice features of this decoy is the ease. It's simple. It has to be or I don't want any part of it. You set it on the ground on it's own stand and turn it one. The first Model Eric sent me was on a stake and I couldn't get that darned thing in the frozen ground here in Minnesota. This one has a stand you set on the ground, turn it on and you are in business.

Eric's early models triggered on 8 or 16 second intervals. The field testers found this to be too slow. I agreed. Too much can happen in eight seconds. So, Eric fixed it. It now triggers in 4 seconds. Perfect.

I've had a ball with this decoy. I've had fox come up and try to attack it. Of course I wait a bit just to watch them. In fact, one of my battery packs has two holes from BB's where I ended up shooting it with my shotgun to protect it from that fox.

I'd be interested in hearing what some of you other field testers have to say about it. Feel free to either post here or send me an email at [url=mailto:foxhunter_56308@hotmail.com

The Predator Enticer is a slick setup.Eric has made it easy to use, lightweight, and compact. I like the fact that it is like Randy said, totally quiet. I have another decoy that I can hear the motor running at 20 yards on a quiet day. The Predator Enticer is real easy on batteries also.

You can also use your imagination with the decoy and make up feathered critters of your own liking if you choose.

Just a quick story, Last weekend I had a pair of coyotes coming hard towards the decoy and e-caller. The first was a couple of hundred yards in front of the other. I finally was forced to shoot the first or risk letting it get too close and ending up with nothing. I thought this would ruin my chance for a double but the second one was so locked in on the decoy it never even slowed down until it was right up to the decoy where I was able to shoot it also.

I don't use a decoy in every situation. Sometimes I don't want to risk getting busted setting up the decoy but, if you are setting out a e-caller anyway it will only take a few extra seconds and put up a decoy. I liked it for hand calling also because they lock on the decoy and not you.

My new one just came in the mail today ! Woo hoo !!

Ive used several types of decoys from the feather on a string, to a stuffed rabbit... and this decoy flat out makes a world of difference like nothing else.

So far this season Ive had 4 unusually "memorable" stands that come to mind above the rest Ive made... 3 of those stands are significantly due to the Enticer.

The coyote I got with my Bow at 4 yards was due to this Decoy. He was at 30 yards and heading "outta town" till he saw that decoy flutter, after which he made a strait, brush crashing charge. That coyote was at my feet and never did see me because he was so focused on that decoy. Just try drawing back an arrow on a coyote charging right at you... haha. http://www.predatormastersforums.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/000288.html

A decoy that doesnt move erratically isnt as good of a decoy. The movement and rythym of the Enticer just cant be beat. That flutter it does is flat out perfect. PERFECT.

Im so glad we can finally talk about it !

Robb, I've been tormenting Eric for sometime now to let us talk about it. We are in predator calling season and it's time to let people know so they can get one if they are interested.

Now is the time. Let's go hunting.

Hunting the Red Fox

I've only the oppertunity to take my new and improved model P.E. out twice. Neither time have I called in a dog but I am impressed with the movement of this toy. When I again am in the right place at the right time and they catch site of this thing I know it will be a visual lure. Now if I can just pull off work long enough to go hunting I might see some coyotes.

I got my decoy this week and took it out today for the first time. I had a coyote circling around my e-caller until he saw the decoy. When he saw the decoy he pulled up and focused on it entirely. Lights out!!
It works better than any decoy on the market that I have seen.
