Went out last night just at sunset and walked a ways to set up to watch a known hog wallow. While waiting for a hog I decided to use my hand call for coyote howls and hope for a response. Nope, nothing happening with the coyotes, probably too early as it has heated up again and coyotes are waiting for cooler temps. I was ready to call it quits and head home so I made one more scan for hogs and this time I see one. I don't usually see a lone sow but there she was so I took the shot around 65/70 yds, got the picture and was home around 9pm.

Morning. Always wanted to whack a nice Boar but not spend the big bucks. Anyone interested in swapping a private property Archery whitetail hunt for some Boar hunting ?? Western NY farm country. Doug

I'm glad our weather is starting to ease up a bit so I can get back out and enjoy some hunting. It's been awfully hot in the past few months so I've not been in the mood to do much... and I have a bunch of new to me Contenders (pistols) that I want to get some trigger time with.
