The Van is Gone

Today, I sold the Van, she's been a grand old friend. We've been partners for 17 years. Early on I spent up to 6 months of the year hunting and fishing out of it.

My grand daughter called it the "Magic Van". It was always stocked for a hunting trip, other than guns and ammo I never had to get ready. It always had everything for a trip from meals to cookies and chocolate to a decent bottle of scotch stashed in it. If my grand daughter wanted hot cocoa, a cookie, candy or crackers I just had to go to the van to get it. she's 32 now.

I always wanted to name the van "Ghost Dancing" but never got around to having the lettering done. The first person to tell where the name came from wins a new predator call. Ending the competition.

And now we start over, downsizing alot. Being old, monthlong trips across the country will be fewer. I can start the new rig now with proceeds from the van to fund the changes to the new rig. Hope to meet you on the road some day.

Well you took me out a couple of times in your "mobile hunting home" and I still have very fond memories of those times. I will try to visit in the Fall when I mosey out your way. We need to do one more visit out west of big D. F

Hint, "Ghost Dancing" is stored in the University of Missouri Museum of Art and Archeology. "Nikawa" means "River Horse" in the Osage language,

I was going to downsize to an AWD minivan from my AWD Express Conversion van, but at 6"2" 250 lbs I wasn't comfortable in the driver's seat and I didn't want to have to carry my E bike on a rack outside in the weather.
Good luck with the Xterra.
