The World's Smallest Political Quiz

An interesting quiz to determine your political beliefs.

10 questions total (5 re: personal issues and 5 re: economic issues) determine into which of the five categories (Liberal, Conservative, Statist, Libertarian, Centrist) you fall and give you a score in the two sectors (personal & economic).

OMG, I'm a Paulbot!

My score was 90% economic and 80% personal. Really didn't surprise me too much as I find myself in agreement with much of the Libertarian philosophy. However, I also am pragmatic enough to know that the country is not ready for such a drastic swing and RP is unelectable (if not downright scary when it comes to foreign policy).

At this point in time, Mitt Romney is our best (and only) hope to derail the current train to destruction on which we find ourselves. Hopefully he will choose a strong VP to help put us on the path to restoration of the nation where, by the grace of God, I was born and have been privileged to live three fourths of a century.

OK, folks, let's see exactly where you stand politically.

No cheating, HB.

HM I scored exactly the same.I always come out libertarian. However like you said the first thing we have to do is get O out.I would encourage all to recognise this and vote accordingly. We can beat O and maybe get another chance if we don't waste votes on ideas that wont fly right now.I think this is not selling out your beliefs,it is facing reality.

Sorry there HM, this is rigged. After playing around with this test a bit, something didn't seem right. So if you are conservative you will always show up libertarian. Why? Well I went to their site and snooped around, we've been played by the Paulistinians here. From their site:

What Is the Advocates for Self-Government?

“The Advocates has made invaluable contributions to the freedom cause. For over twenty years, the Advocates has worked tirelessly to help libertarians better communicate the ideas of liberty. I continue to be impressed by the Advocates' work."

- Congressman Ron Paul

Since 1985, the Advocates for Self-Government has worked to bring about a free society by empowering those who love liberty to become highly successful at taking the ideas of individual freedom and responsibility, free markets, and peace to the world.

The Advocates for Self-Government's focus is unique. Libertarians in many different organizations use our products, programs and services to make their own outreach and educational efforts more effective.

Advocates’ programs advance the entire Liberty Movement by:

Exposing millions to libertarianism by replacing the old “Left-Right” political map with a more inclusive and accurate model such as the one used by our World’s Smallest Political Quiz.
Creating new libertarians by presenting the freedom philosophy in an honest and persuasive way.
Equipping libertarian activists with the tools and skills they need to successfully impact their communities.

The Advocates combines years of activism experience with the newest advances in technology, psychology, and communications to expose millions to the ideas of liberty and equip the Liberty Movement with the tools to change the world.

We believe liberty is the best way to achieve peace and prosperity. And the best way to achieve liberty is by effectively communicating the ideas of entrepreneurship, limited government, civil liberties, and individual responsibility to the public.

Just think of us as a PR firm for Liberty.

Maybe so, blasta. I played around with it after reading your post and did find it rather difficult to maneuver the dot into the conservative slot, but not impossible.

Labels are immaterial to me in that they absolutely do not influence my vote. I'm am fearful that there are a number of voters out there that may be influenced to "pull the lever" based solely on the party label. This quiz could be directed at the latter in hopes of garnering votes for the libertarian candidate.

I just hope there are sufficient numbers of sophisticated voters out there to see through the party line BS and use their brain before voting.

When I first took this test it told me I was a Libertarian, then I changed my stance from the extreme to the moderate on a couple items and all the sudden I was a conservative. Yeah its rigged to show us all how much we are in line with the tin-foil hat and poison jet-stream crowd. Sorry, not a great indicator.

Yep. Just look at the 'scoring' allowed by the chart itself. 'Statist' is 100% wrong, libertarion is 100% correct.
Any ratio pushes you towards the 'correct' side that the site supports.

If you vote disagree to all you end up with a 0/0 score. Agree to all and you have 100/100.
