I actually started coyote hunting running with dogs. My dad started taking me with him and my uncle when I was 5 years old. I did it every winter up until I was 18. When I was kid, it was one of the most exciting things we did, I couldn't wait to go. A lot of good memory's, and I got to shoot a lot of coyotes. But things changed, a lot of the older guys either died off or quit hunting. Then more and more young guys started showing up(I say that even though I was young).
It got to a point where everyone didn't even know each other. People were shooting out of there trucks and trespassing(all the time). I finally called it quits. That's when I got into calling coyotes. I have been doing it on and off for 15 years. I have taken it more serious the last 3years.
It seems like every direction you go from town there is a group running dogs. I try to hunt big sections and river bottoms to avoid them. Not that I don't agree with what they are doing, just not my thing anymore.
