Hi Guys

After some research I think I will buy the Canadian Made GSCi TWS-3000 Series thermal riflescopes.

Anybody has experience with this brand? I am hearing good things about it .

I am interested with the GSCi-3050GCxl-17 or GSCi-3075GCxl-17 both 640x480

Here is the specs from their web site as PDF file.

Can you share your experience ? The reason I go for Canadian made is that I live in Europe and we can NOT get U.S. made products over here due to U.S. Export Restrictions

Don't know much about them but will PM you the link..... found (2) GSCI TWS-3075CG Thermal Imaging Weapon Sight Scope FPA 384x288 75mm Lens 3X for $10,278.

Several websites with this price if it helps any.

If I were to get one, I would get the 3050 model with the 50mm lens....

I think I will order one today , it's priced at 14.000 Euro which is like 18.200 USD Delivered.

Just a quick question, why would you choose the 50mm lens rather than 75mm ? Because I was thinking of the 50mm as well, my thinking was 50mm will give me more field of view isn't it ?

I got the link thanks , but that one isn't 640x480 pixel as you mentioned already, that one is the lower pixel version, I think I should go ahead with the 640x480 version . Also since Thermal Scopes are not legally allowed here, I can not just order it online. I have to order them through special shop who hand deliver them to us.

The 50mm lens will give you better FOV and be plenty of high resolution out to 300 plus meters, a 75 or 100mm lens is really for a long range sniper weapon out past 400 meters.

A 50mm lens in conjunction with the 640 thermal core should be capable of doing just about anything you want to do on a hog hunt.

Very few hunters would have any reason to be taking shots past 300 yards at night.

I believe these systems are produced by Elan in Canada for the Canadian military, which is owned by Raytheon, so they are solid quality instruments, but they are expensive, as are most high quality thermal units.

Thanks for the info .

For the GSCi3050CG-17, currently the seller is asking for 14.256 Euro = 18.532 USD but I gave them a counter offer of 13.000 Euro = 16.900 USD , they rejected so far

I have this belief that a product's selling price should not be higher at in Europe by European Dealers than the price in the USA with U.S. Dealers .

There is like 1500 USD difference compared to USA prices which is too much.

Let's see what will happen

Hi ,

I am still negotiating on the price, one Dutch company reduced his price to Euro 13.500.- (17.550 US$) delivered at his shop.

But when I look at the USA and Canada prices, it looks like I can find the same riflescope for 14.700 US$ (TWS3050GC-17)

So there is like a US$ 3000 difference between the U.S. price and Europe price.

And since being a NON USA citizen , I don't think I can buy it from USA , so it looks like I must buy it from Europe, but then do I want to pay this extra 3000$ difference ? Is it worth it ?

What would you guys recommend ?

That is difficult to say, but if the GSCi scopes perform as well as my FLIRs, then I would vote in the affirmative.

The problem in Europe is that no distributor has the GSCi in their stock, they must be ordered FIRST to be able to see them

Since you guys live in the U.S. and some in Canada, can some of you try it in real life?

I know TNVC is a member of this forum and he is also selling them, do you think I should ask him to make some trials and post some pictures ? Do you think he compare the GSCi to Flirs and others ?
