Thermion xg50......whats the deal

The original Thermion XG used the BAE sensor. This is the sensor used in the Trijicon and Nvision units. However, they did not use the firmware as they wanted to utilize the traditional Pulsar features. For whatever reason in my opinion and Tom Austin's, the XG never lived up to image of the other two brands or in many situations even the XP line up of their own brand. It appears Pulsar is discontinuing using the BAE sensor and is going back to a ULIS style sensor in the newer XG units.

As far as issues, Tom never mentioned holding zero as an issue but had lots of glitchy issues with his personal XG.

My buddies is out for delivery today. He dumped his Yoter and pulled the trigger on one so I guess we will get a chance to see first hand. Hard to argue with the blow out price.

I'd be interested on how likes/compares the Yoter to the XG

$3400 and free shipping from Europtic. My hunting buddy just ordered one so I'll let you know my opinion once it gets here but thats a KILLER price on a very nice 640 optic that will be a nice step up from any 384 scope plus its got American parts in it by a company not owned by China, something to think about.

I have heard from multiple people/dealers the Thermion line has been rock solid and no POI issues like the Trails had.
