Known today as Beanie Weenies was OK, too. Only thing I really liked in C rations was the crackers. Have never found a source for that type of cracker since.
Look for Pilot Bread crackers, I like Sailor Boy brand, they make decent breading for fish, crushed and seasoned. They keep forever. They are on the order of a hardtack cracker.
