True story here Clarence. Late last year I enticed my younger brother (80) to ride shotgun for me to Dallas to help me drive a vehicle I intended to purchase back to Oklahoma. Now, I should have surmised that by the time we got to McKinney and became aware of the traffic density, maybe I should have made different arrangements. Everywhere we looked there was road construction and all road signs were down and traffic barriers were up and we were south bound and needed to get over to the north bound side. I also did not know that we were on toll roads and could not find a way to exit to cross over to be north bound. So, went 22 miles south and finally crossed over and we were running so late as a result of all this mess and brother was frothing at the mouth and so nervous he could have threaded a Singer sewing machine while it was running. Naturally I was cool as a cucumber and gently requested that he hush and just navigate, as that was part of his job. His face got red for some reason and he began to mumble something about my driving skill and not having a GPS, I didn't hear all he said but, we both have hearing aids and it was probably all for the best that I didn't hear his salty comments. Finally swallowed my manly pride and called the seller to find out how to find him. We finally arrived at the location and after looking the vehicle over and seeing that he had not disclosed the hail damage, I withdrew my offer. So three weeks later I received a friendly notice from the State of Texas for a toll bill of $35.70.So, you've been to Austin, too, have you? Yep, looks like 35 @0300!
