Thinking about a Glock 19

I havent read all 19 responses yet, but Ill just chime in with my personal info

Ive owned and CCW the Glock 19 for 1.5 years now. I LOVE my glock, I have the Gen 4 19 and it shoots wonderfully, fits my hand like a glove and I have no problems concealing it. In summer I had khaki shorts and a t shirt on with no problem. If you like the gun, it fits you well and you shoot it well..then thats the gun you should get
 
I am well versed in the 1911's, I have owned a fair number of them. This is my current, and all time favorite 1911-

This gun was a great shooter from day one; I will never sell it.

As for Glocks, I have only shot the 19 and I did like it a lot. I have shot XD's and I own a CW40 Kahr....I have owned a large number of revolvers as well. But I am not looking at the Glock as a beauty contest gun, that would be the one in the above picture.

The Glock would be the reliable girl friend that is always up for a night at the drive in with a 6 pack, not the girl I want to take to the country club to show off.

Having fired 1000's upon 1000's of rounds through Glock's and been around 10,000+ rounds being fired from them I will say it is one of the MOST dependable guns you will ever find!!!! Many times I have fired them with water dripping out of them and never a hick up. Not as pretty as a nice 1911 but as close to bullet proof as a gun can get..
 
Glock is as good as any other high quality handgun, no better - no worse. The G19 and G17 are their best efforts in my opinion and the G19 is a nice compromise of size and capacity.
 
Admittedly I'm old fashioned and I'll stick with my 1911's. It's like me being married to the same woman for 40 years. Oops we weren't supposed to compare guns to women.

I swear by Glock. I have had many in the past and currently have 3 right now, the 19 being one of them. Never had a single problem with it(or any Glock). I have shot many different types of ammo, both reloaded and factory and it always preforms.
 
I like the Glock 19 and 17 a lot. I'd carry one anytime. That being said, I love my Beretta 92FS. When it comes to accuracy at longer ranges, the 92FS smokes the Glock.
 
Glock is announcing something new tomorrow but won't tell. At least that is according to their Facebook page. I don't facebook but saw it on Glock Talk. Of course, these rumors have happened before. A guy can wish for a single stack Glock 9...right?!
 
Just like every other day, i am wearing a glock 19 right now. 1911 is an awesome gun but i cant afford a good one and there are too many safties and what now for my ccw liking.
 
I have a Gen 3 19 and like it alot, I have heard that Gen 4 guns flip the spent brass up in guys faces but I dont know this to be a fact. They are getting a little hard to find around here, for anybody that might be interested Wideners has the KCI Korean mags for the 19, they are 15 rounders and they want $16 a piece for them.
