Thompson Center .204 ruger

I'm sure Pamick will chime in...he has the Venture Predator and loves it. I have it in the .22-250 and think equally as highly of it. I have a .204 barrel for my ProHunter and it shoots quite nicely.

I think if you're considering it for purchase, I wouldn't hesitate. They have a $75 rebate currently going on as well...I believe.

Good luck!!

Love mine ! Hornady 40 gr. v-max factory ammo drops em right there with no pass throughs. TC Venture Predator in 204.

Shop around on the net you can still find the rifle/scope package & get the $75.00 rebate. Comes in two camo choices & winter camo. HAPPY SHOPPING !

that's the exact gun that I bought. What's the distance that you feel good shooting out to?

I suggest looking up on the shooting charts. You will find it pretty impressive. Guys are taking 400 + yard shots with it. I haven't shot mine that far on the range. 200 yard shots are no problem and max most of the time for me night hunting but many calibers will do that.

After fox season was over i mounted this scope on my 204 :
Vortex Crossfire II 3-12x56 AO
Hog Hunter Scope
V-Brite (MOA) Reticle | 30mm Tube
Illuminated dot in center of duplex reticles - adjustable brightness
UNCONDITIONAL FULL LIFETIME WARRANTY
$300 bucks

Use the "search" in the task bar and you will find all kinds of info you will want to learn about !

Welcome to Predator Masters !

Another selling point for the Venture would be the faster-twist barrel (1:10). Most 1:12 .204s (incl. my 3) struggle to stabilize 40 grain bullets, although most do ok with 39 Sierra Blitzkings - of which, btw if you don't reload, no factory loads using them are produced anymore.

I have an Encore rifle in .204 It shoots very well with many 1/2" 3-shot groups at 100 yds. I shot it today to check zero and it was shooting well below 1" at 100 yds. I also own a Cooper and a CZ and it shoots almost as good as they do.

Ive got the TC Venture camo in 22-250 topped w/a Nikon 3x9 BDC n it's the most accurate rifle I own. Freakin tackhammer,Im 20-6 on the chucks with the farthest being 400 yds. Buy it!

I have an Encore, shoots 40gr V-max's in the .5's.
The gun is about 10 years old. I don't shoot it much anymore, that's not a reflection on the caliber, I'm just not a fan of the Encore platform. It's a "loaner" gun for when someone wants to shoot coyotes with me but doesn't own a suitable caliber.

It has suitable ballistics to my .22-250's. I've killed chucks out to 500 yards and coyotes to about 250.

Good luck.
