Thompson Center Icon vs Venture Predator?

I guess I'll wait till they come out before I get something else. I have seen the regular venture and it seems like a well made rifle.

I have 2 Icons and 1 Venture, The Icons are in 243 and 308 and the Venture 270. All are an honest to goodness under MOA guns. 3 shots anyway..lol I am sure if I am on they will hold that MOA for 5 shots as well. Accuracy wise they are all good. Icon has a better stock. Knowing what I know now I wouldn't hesitate to buy a Venture over an Icon. My 243 is a gun I will never sell.

You can't go wrong with either. I am looking at a Venture in the camo if I can ever find one.It sounds like TC is way behind on the camo Venture. Supposedly there will be some showing up in July.....fingers crossed:)

Cant go wrong, shot the icon all season unbelievable, got a venture coming and know it will do the same....T/C ROCKS....

I shoot an Icon Precision Hunter in 22-250 and my main coyote hunting partner shoots the standard Icon in .243. Both are great guns but the Icon Precision hunter groups are the tighest of any factory gun I have ever owned, shot or even seen on paper.

With the way the gun is weighted, you can even see the hit (or very seldom miss) because there is very little kick. It is similar to a .204 or .17 Rem. It may be a bit heavy for some but I like it. The only minor things I don't love about the gun are the bolt/action isn't as smooth as others I have used, and I am not a big fan of the clip system that only holds 3 shells. I like to be able to feed one or more shells down from the top and you must take out the bolt to due this unless you want to shoot one at a time.

I haven't seen or shot the Venture but the Precision Hunter is a beast and has killed too many coyotes to count already just in 1/2 a season for me.
