Thoughts on a Holo or Red Dot on a Mossberg 935?

Picked up the 935 late last year and was thinking about putting either a holographic or Red Dot on it. Specifically was looking at something cheap like the Truglo just in case I don't like it, but not sure.

What's all your experiences and what worked and didn't and why?

Bushnell halo would be nice, but they sit rather high and you don't have the best of cheek weld, IMO.

I'd personally look into a Burris Speed bead. Small, compact and you get excellent cheek weld. I ran one this spring on my turkey/pred shotgun.

Here's a picture of the setup, the g/f was this this turkey season.

I had a Holo Sight on my Mossy 935 and loved it. I sold the 935 but kept the Holo Sight and will probably put it on my Benelli Vinci.

Which one did you have and what mounts did you use?

Sweet...I'm going to look into that one.

Superseal, I like the looks and such of that Speed Bead, but I don't see where they have one for Mossberg. You know if one of them converts or fits the 935?

I use a red dot on my Mossy 500 slug gun for jumping up close swamp deer and it works great on close, fast moving targets.
For my needs it is a good set up.

I also don't see it listed for the Mossberg. You could run a Weaver rail and mount a Burris fast fire on it.

I put an EOTech on my Benelli M4. I did that because I saw a national caliber trap shooter put one on his trap gun. He was having eye problems and it really helped him. Although I would not do it in competition, I ocassionally shoot the trap with the M4 at 16 yards. Pretty good results despite the 18.5 inch barrel.
