Thursday night pair

Made 2 setups last night, I've been down sick (assuming I got sick from ice fishing most all last week since we had 9" of ice and 0° weather) but was itching to go out since most all the snow has melted off this week, first stand I seen one but not a shot opportunity so off to the 2nd location,
I Started off with Dempsey September howls, almost instantly had 2 coyotes fire up, one was within couple hundred yards to the west and 2nd one sounded further north west

After about 20 mins of working the call I finally seen the first big male coyote working his way to me, blitzking to the chest drt @ 200 yards

After the shot I tried few other sounds and never seen nothing else, so I headed out to take a look at the one I killed and all be dang if I didn't look in my monocular and see another working towards me from the far distance, my rifle is 200 yards away at this point lol so I decided leave that one lay for a bit and busted ass back to my rifle and was able to get the 2nd one (female) killed as well @ 230 yards with another drt from blitzking.

Rifle sounded louder than normal but I was right against a metal building and the audio on this rh50r makes everything seem so loud on video playback how it is already, I have a omega 300 on my ar10 6.5

A Few months back I shot a coyote in the exact feild, when it took off running after i shot, I could see I hit it but not very good an it took off running across the feild but fell 2x doing a front flip each time but getting right back up and running while doing so, I tried shooting it a few others times with no success... very good possibility it was the same coyote, it came from the exact location and the shot was within 100 yards of the same place I killed this one last night, I will try finding that video

Nice going! Thanks for sharing the hunt.

I hunted a property a couple seasons back that resulted in an unrecovered coyote. Later in the season on the same property a pair showed up and one had a noticeable hitch in her gitty-up. Unfortunately no shot presented itself so I couldn’t do an autopsy to know if it could have been the same one.
