I have a Savage and a Tikka.
I prefer the Tikka T3 (both in .243)(although I have taken more with the Savage.)
The Tikka has a smoother action, and a light trigger. Buy what you can afford, the Savage was more economical for me, but after 7yrs and 4,000 rounds I've switched to the Tikka. Both rifles are quality guns and will shoot well for you.
