Tikka T3 lite vs. Savage 16/116

Hey guys I need a little help making a decision for my next purchase. I am down to the Tikka in .243 or the Savage in 6.5 Creedmoor. This is going to be a hunting gun for me now and for my daughters when they are big enough. Looking to take coyotes to deer with this rifle. I am trying to go as light as I can since I usually do a lot of walking. I am also putting a suppressor on it so I am going to cut the barrel down to possibly 18ish inches. Just asking for personal preference and opinions on these two. Thanks

I own 2 Tikka T3 lites, and LOVE them. Super lite, and tack drivers! I cant think of 1 possible reason why you wouldnt love a Tikka....also, has an adjustable 2 lb trigger that is incredible! Cant go wrong.

J.D. I am also leaning towards the Tikka for accuracy and quality. The only reason I considered the Savage is the 6.5 Creedmoor is supposed to be a pretty decent deer cartridge.

+1 on the Tikka

.....and I have heard the .243 Win has killed a few deer as well. I wouldn't hesitate on "pulling the trigger" on that Tikka.

Out of all the rifles the Tikkas are my best out of the box.

They make the tikka t3 in 260. Sort of hard to find though. The ballistics are about the same as 6.5 CM. I went with the .243 tikka over 25-06 or 260 for coyote to deer, but only because I live in comifornia and they just banned internet ammo sales. It was mao in the first 20 shots with cheap federal blue box 80 gr sp.

I have Tikka in 243 223 22-250. All good shooters.

I had a Savage 16 FCSS 243 it was a good one too. It had the accustock and detachable mag. It was stainless but only thing that was stainless was the barrel the rest was just painted grey

I have been favoring Tikka's for a very long time and have weathered much criticism over the years by many who now carry Tikka's themselves. Funny how that works.

I have A lot of bolt guns I mean a lot which include 3 tikkas. I'm telling you they see the woods 95 percent of the time if I'm going to bring out a bolt gun
