Tikka T3x Ace

Anyone own one or seen them. I looked at a few in a LGS a few days ago. Very nice if you prefer a chassis rifle. They have two versions, one with a full blown heavy barrel and one with maybe a heavy sporter/ light varmint contour. Now if they shoot as good as they look and cost.............

Don’t have that one but have a couple T3Xs and although I wasn’t crazy about them at first, they have grown on me.
I have 2 Roughtec models which have medium contour barrel with fluting. 5/8 threaded muzzle with brake. They shoot great, have a very good factory trigger and action runs and feeds like a sewing machine.
Have a friend that has the Super Varmint ( full heavy barrel) and it shoots fantastic.
Edit to add: I initially thought they were overpriced but they are machined nicely and are very smooth and clean. For a factory rifle they are extremely nice imo.

I've had several Tikkas and for a factory rifle they are one of the best made. I jokingly call them Baby Sakos. No one had argued with me yet. The Ace is a fine rifle but carries a hefty price tag to. The only thing keeping me from buying one is money. :)

I’d like to handle one, doubtful any shops around me will get any in though.
Also doubtful Tikka will be releasing any new cartridges than what they already have. I’d love to see them do some of the new 22 and 6mm offerings.

I also looked at a Weatherby 307 in 7 PRC. Carbon fiber stock and carbon barrel as well. Fine looking rifle but it also sports a hefty price tag.

Looked at the ace game in 22-250, net said it was 1:8 t, barrel said 1:14. Already have a t3x varmit so I left it there. That's it shooting a 55gr varmegeddon hand load, but win factory does the same. Bottom right is the keeper load.
